I feel like I’m constantly living in survival mode like something is about to go wrong. I have this uneasy feeling yet everything around me is going well. Is this normal?

Sorry to hear you’re going through a tough time Lydia 🙁

Our survival mode you’re feeling is completely normal, but things could be unbalanced if it’s activated when there’s no real physical danger involved. Anxiety and stress can cause our survival mode to kick in to protect us but it actually feels unbearable at times, and like you’re stuck and just waiting for the next thing to go wrong.

Let me ask you something. When things are going well, are you able to be in the present moment, accept how you feel and enjoy the moment for what it is?

I have found that truly being able to accept that which I cannot control has helped me to push past feelings like this.

Courage is the ability to act in the face of fear and I wish you all the courage in the world to face whatever is happening in your life.

    Sending you love 💞

This is so kind of you. Thank you.

When things go right I tend to forget about my anxiety so yeah maybe I am present or at least able to let go of things. But I just feel like is temporary. My mood just dips again.

I want to be consistent in my good moods. I’m learning to practice self-care again.
