What’s reoccurring? I suffer from social anxiety which has a large impact on my photography business and my overall well-being

Sorry to hear that Lydia! That’s amazing you have your own photography business. What type of photography do you do?
I’d love to know what you do to prime yourself before an event. I get really nervous before attending events with lots of people and sometimes I need to leave the room to catch my breath again.
Greetings from London!

Heyy, I do animal and fashion photography. I’m trying out styles to expand my portfolio and skills.
Before an event, I’ve recently tried deep breathing and lots of positive self-talk at least a couple of days before. This has helped me calm my nerves. Do you have many events coming up?

It’ll be a quiet January for me, but i’m hoping to get back out there from February and start meeting more new people face to face. It’s still nerve-racking each time but if I keep at it, it’ll become more manageable over time I hope.

Definitely, you become accustomed when you do things over and over again.

I’m anxious as I start a new job in January and I’m unsure how I’ll get along. It’s a new industry I’m familiar with but I already feel out of my comfort zone and I’ve not even started :/

Ahhh Corey, you’re going to be fine. I think it’s natural to feel like this. We all do when we start something new. I know I felt this when I started my photography ventures.

I completely agree with what Lydia said and remember. It was everybody’s first day at some point.
Each person at that company has felt the same thing you’re feeling so let that comfort you.
You’re not alone and be open to the question of “what if my first week at work goes well and far more amazing than I could imagine?” And then imagine the positive possibilities you’d love to manifest!
Let us know how your first week went!

Thanks, I’m finding it difficult with a new working routine. Having the entire Christmas period off I was waking up late. Now I’m waking up every day at 7 am. This week has been tough I’m not going to lie, I’m struggling to keep my emotions in check. But the new job is going well.
How are you?
